S. Clement's

 s the late Fr. Joiner, sometime rector, once said, S. Clements, “stands as a living memorial to great priests and faithful people who fought bravely and suffered patiently under heartbreaking opposition and persecution … for the Catholic Faith”.  S. Clement’s honours that tradition, and continues to enjoy the practice of the Catholic faith within the Episcopal Church which our parishioners and priests fought for in the 19th and early 20th centuries, through such services as publicly chanted Latin Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, daily Low Mass, and a weekly Choral Sung Mass. As a “Hospital for Sinners”, S. Clement’s supports the spiritual life of a vast range of people, from all walks of life including those experiencing homelessness. This pastoral work continues the Anglo-Catholic tradition which in the early days of the parish lead the Cowley Fathers to minister to the workers of the now historic Baldwin Locomotive plant and their families. S. Clement’s is home to people of all walks of life, joined in the desire to exercise the privilege of the Catholic faith, and to grow together in the faith and love of Our Lord. The church is home to a number of devotional society wards and supports a variety of ministries, including a partnership with Eddie's House, a program aiding those transitioning from the foster-care system. S. Clement's has long had a commitment to the arts, and frequently hosts concerts through Choral Arts and the the Bach Collegium.  We hope you join us for mass, and welcome you to come  experience the richness and prayerfulness of life at S.
